#F199 When deleting a task, there is no need to mention deleting subtasks if there are none [desc] - Verified Fixed
How hard : 1 - Medium
How useful : 1 - useful
Priority : 0 - critical
Description
Solution [Andrey] We need two confirmations: 1) Are you sure you want to delete task "<TaskName>" 2) All its subtasks will be deleted. Continue? [show this only if any] [Oleg] The task name may be long enough to not fit the PPC screen. I propose the following prompts: 1) Are you sure want to delete the task and all its subtasks? 2) Are you sure want to delete the task?
[Andrey] Can we cut the task name if it is longer then N symbols and add "...". Since we do not have UNDO it is important to: 1) see the task name you delete 2) second confirmation for tasks with subtasks. [Oleg] Done. The length of the task name to be displayed is limited to 50. If the caption is longer, it is truncated and padded with "...".
[Andrey] We need two confirmations for a task with subtasks. In the first confirmation do not mention subtasks at all.
[Oleg] Done.
[Andrey] Still no *two* confirmations for deleting a branch. Think of this confirmations as of two confirmations when you delete *two selected* files in Far
[Oleg] Fixed in 1.0.4 beta.

#F166 The Due Date (Due Mark) takes a lot of room - Verified Fixed
How hard : 1 - Medium
How useful : 1 - useful
Priority : 3 - normal
Description The Due Date (Due Mark) takes a lot of room when turned on in the outline screen. I think it needs to be fixed to the end of the Task line, so when you scroll left or right, you can read the text of the Task in the outline, and then scroll over to see the date. The current way makes reading the text harder for long items. The same comment would apply for the Todo screen also.

#F189 Option to add quick task with a reminder to fill In task DETAILS later. - Verified Fixed
How hard : 1 - Medium
How useful : 1 - useful
Priority : 3 - normal
Description Option to add quick task with a reminder to fill In task DETAILS later. VERY often you only have the time to note down the name and possibly the date of an appointment and not bother with setting priorities etc until later. It would be extremely useful if we could do this, and yet have a filter option to show us tasks for which we have not filled out all details or for ones that we have earmarked to follow up later. This might also be available by a today plugin. The mechanism doesn't matter, so long as I can get a task into MLO ASAP, but easily come back to it later

Description suggest making better use of the "action" button (ie in centre of D pad). At the moment clicking the action buttonin tasks view on my ppc (XDA mini) exits the program and opens the .ml folder dialog. I think a better use of the action button would be to either check off the task or to open the task properties dialog.

#F671 Store place selected in places combo [desc] - Verified Fixed
How hard : 1 - Medium
How useful : 1 - useful
Priority : 4 - below normal
Description I'm using both MLO-Desktop and MLO-ppc RC-3 versions.
When I open MLO-Desktop it opens with Places set as "Home" but when I open MLO-ppc it always opens with Places set as "All Places". If I change it to "Home" when I synchronize it with the desktop it changes back to "All Places."
Is there a setting I've missed that would solve this so it opens with Places set as "Home"?
RC-3 is the first ppc version I've used so I don't know if this is working differently to previous versions.

#F280 Show the number of days left instead of due date. - New
How hard : 1 - Medium
How useful : 1 - useful
Priority : 3 - normal
Description I would like an option (or maybe a toggle) to show the number of days due for tasks rather than the date for example show "65 days" rather than "05/09/05" or "-2 days" for overdue tasks. If greater than a year, perhaps something like "2 years 65 days". I feel this would allow easier and more inuitive tracking of timelines for projects. It may fill some of the void of not having a gantt chart, and allow a simple visual glance of timelines in both outline and todo views.

#F236 "Today" plugin for MLO - New
How hard : 1 - Medium
How useful : 1 - useful
Priority : 3 - normal
Description [Andrey 3/32007] Options - Context, how many tasks to show, consider open close status for context, refresh time
----- Anyhow; it occurs to me that a simple today plugin: would allow one to Pick a "context" aka "place" and display the top 1 to 5 items from that place. User configures the 1 to 5. Tap on the item and jump to in MLO with that context/place active in the todo list.
-------------- NOTE: I hate big today plugins because they rob precious memory from the system stack. But people like them; hopefully Micro$oft fixes that for the 2005 version.

#F441 Hardware buttons [desc] - New
How hard : 1 - Medium
How useful : 1 - useful
Priority : 3 - normal
Description At the moment the action button takes you to the task properties page. However, this is not a big convenience as the user then needs to use the stylus to enter or change any details. I feel buttons are best reserved for aiding in 'exclusive' one hand operation. eg navigating through your prestablished todo list. An alternative use of the action button would be to toggle to a 'full screen' todo view (perhaps with the windows taskbar still in view).

http://groups.google.com/group/myLifeOrganized/browse_thread/thread/de4cc3dee11c8748 Date: Thurs, Jun 15 2006 12:48 am From: "Herschel Krustofsky"
There's an older feature request in the archives for support of a d-pad/five way button in the PPC version of MLO. They were using a Treo 700W, I'm using a T-Mobile MDA. I can use a stylus, but it's so much easier to do things one-handed. Any chance of this getting into the roadmap?

#F449 sync MLO to build-in To-Do DB of PPC [desc] - New
How hard : 1 - Medium
How useful : 1 - useful
Priority : 3 - normal
Description IMHO that's a mistake. If MLO-PPC does not have the option to sync with the built-in todo's, the MLO-PPC will never be able to be a stand alone product. Alot of the PPC applications are made to create task from them, for a truley mobile person, I can see that he would want to then be able to pull those tasks into MLO just like he can at his desktop.
Without this capability MLO-PPC will just remain a add-on to MLO Desktop as you will have to have the desktop to sync with tasks. With this capablity, it could be marketed and sold as a stand alone product.

== 2 of 2 == Date: Sat 17 Sep 2005 12:06 From: "Oleg Popivnenko"
The MLO-PPC <=> MLO desktop sync is a matter of priority for us. As soon as it is implemented, we will be able to move forward with other developments and consider implementing sync with PPC built-in todo list or whatever else.
We will add your feature request to the future developments list and get back to it as soon as possible.

Description I think you could totally do away with the application caption "MyLife Organized" ie don't even make it an option - I doubt that nobody will want it up top, when there is ample space down the bottom for the drop menu.
Solution [Oleg] I am aware of several people who prefer the caption (and, therefore, the drop down menu) at the top of the window. It looks like it would be a good idea to leave the option where it is.
