To dos often become projects with multiple levels of complexity and dependency’s The best at managing personal projects. Just a quick edit to say everything I said way back in 2012 is still true but now the interface is much better. To dos often become projects with multiple levels of complexity and dependency’s, "I can’t do this till that is complete", location, and multiple other contexts then there is not better organizer than MLO. MLO’s real strength is its ability to simultaneously break tasks down into tree form and cross reference items with who, what, where, why,..... and any other context that is important to you.

Really a professional app As a long term Bonsai user. Really a professional app - there is nothing else that comes close at this time. Syncing between platforms and devices is excellent. The Windows app is particularly fully featured. The level of branches and customisable filtering is so needed one wonders why there aren’t more of these type of apps.

The developers have taken their time to get their app right, rather than rush something half backed A feature complete task management app. Solid coding and design. The raft of features includes: hierarchical lists; easy reordering; due dates; recurring tasks; and more. Custom views are easy to create. The Android app syncs reliably with the desktop app (which I use more often). I know the developers have taken their time to get their app right, rather than rush something half backed: this app is the evidence. An example of development done right.

With MLO you can track your projects and tasks your way. I love that you can break down complex tasks into simple ones in whatever hierarchy you want. Cloud sync keeps me current on all devices. Great app.

I am building a third company where the team uses MLO on daily basis Best app for GTD It was about ten years ago when I was looking for a GTD application that worked for me. Tried everything I could find (and there were many). MLO was the only one that actually worked. I have followed it since and I am proud of the developers growing it into what it is today. I am building a third company where the team uses MLO on daily basis. They all say that when you get a hang of it, you can not live without it.

Well worth the investment. I had been using Omnifocus for the last two years or so but needed something that also ran on Windows. MLO easily handles all my stuff. Though it’s a bit pricey when the three separate app purchases and sync service are added up; it’s worth it for me. Both mobile apps are well made and fully featured as far as my usage is concerned. Bonuses: 1. Windows app runs well on OS X using Crossover so I have true cross-platform ( if made, a native OS X app would be appreciated). 2. The implicit task prioritization based on the Covey/Eisenhower quadrants really helps when I’m looking at a large stack. Rather than skimming the list I can just start at the top. Well worth the investment.

It takes some thought to set it all up, and now I have the system I need Surprised how good it is. I got started with MLO via the desktop application, which is very good. This Android app is even better. I tried many Getting Things Done apps, and all ran out of flexibility. It takes some thought to set it all up, and now I have predefined views and filters for all the situations that regularly come up (personal things that must be done from work, for example).

Allows me to do weekly reviews from laptop or iPad I’ve tried many apps in search of a powerful, intuitive way to manage tasks and lists. In my opinion, My Life Organized is the best. Very flexible and customizable. My iPhone, iPad, and Windows laptop stay in perfect sync using their optional Cloud Service. This allows me to do weekly reviews from laptop or iPad and use iPhone when I’m out and about. Great user community on a Google forum to get tips and ask questions.

Since I started using MLO never looked back! Lifesaver!!! All my desktop lists and outlines sync nicely with my note 8.0. Since I started using MLO never looked back! The new version refreshes the widgets on the fly when I make changes. Sweet! And push sync is now in beta. This is by far the best organizer app out there.

Flexibility makes this app one of the best. Great companion to the MLO desktop application (but works perfectly without as well), with several sync options. It’s almost as flexible as the desktop version, with many customization options. Flexibility makes this app one of the best.

You name it, is probably does it! Most powerful cross-platform To Do. Hierarchical lists, contexts and flags, the most flexible filtering, sorting and grouping, both due and start dates and times. The ability to create subtasks is extremely useful! My Life Organized is awesome! My husband and I have both used MLO for several years now and have found it to be incredibly helpful. We use it to organize our daily tasks and to keep track of long-term goals as well. The ability to create subtasks is extremely useful! We have tried a number of other list keeping apps but find that MLO is by far the best! You won’t be disappointed.

This is one of the few to work on Windows and iPhone. I came to the app by way of their excellent Windows application. This is one of the few to work on Windows and iPhone. It can seem overly complicated at first, but it really does have all the hierarchy / bites / pxrioritizeation and sorting needs to be great. Defiantly better than Todoist or Any.do in my opinion and more useful for organizing a GTD workflow than Evernote. Note: much nicer with cloud sync. You do need to buy the app on both iPhone and Windows and cloud sync (3 purchases) to get it all, but it’s worth it for me. You can do free iPhone and wifi sync to save some $ if necessary but I like the cloud syncing multiple files - work / home.

This app has been a total game changer for me! My boss, a long-term Matthews there, was switching to a PC and was worried about how she would manage her tasks without being able to use Omni focus (she is a long-term user of this system). When she explained to me what she was looking for, I started searching for an alternative. I found it in my life organized! I was so excited about the functionality and offered, I downloaded it and started using it myself. I love the user friendly design and especially the ability to sync tasks directly from my email to my MML out to do list. I love how easy it is to change The order of tasks and easily in bed one task in another as a sub task. This app has been a total game changer for me! It is easy, smooth, and exactly what I’ve been looking for to stay on top of everything that needs to get done in my very busy life!

I use MLO offline As a busy Business Development person, I use MLO as my go-to App to organize my travel and appointments, track sales orders and organize project milestones, as well as track customer deliverables. Our company SalesForce.com iPad App only works when there is connectivity, and even then is very slow. So I use MLO as my offline SFDC companion to save time and eliminate paper. For instance, I set up my meeting planners in SFDC. During the customer meeting I take all of my notes and set up deliverables in MLO while I’m customer-facing. That saves me time. I can then easily copy and paste everything into SFDC later. Not only does MLO allow me to eliminate paper scratch pads (and the constant problem of losing my notes. LOL!), but now my notes and deliverables are easy to archive and find in MLO. Not to mention, I can copy and re-use notes between customers, and have set-up project templates that I re-use over and over, saving me time. I love this App!

Once you understand the concepts, I think you’ll love it MLO has been my favorite task outliner/to do list program for several years now and the functionality just received a boost in version 2 for Android. Although I love the app, I will say that I wish there was a dark theme (for the Windows desktop as well!) and that the app truly synced with all features. One feature that I love about MLO 4 for Windows that came to MLO 2 is worskspaces. However, instead of created workspaces in the desktop program and having it sync to MLO 2 for Android, you have to set up workspaces on each device that you install MLO onto. Other than that, MLO 2 makes working on projects and tasks easy. I highly recommend it. The learning curve is pretty high but once you understand the concepts as to how it works and what it’s doing, I think you’ll love it.

Learning curve and pricey but powerful and unique. It can take a while to get used to and is so advanced that it can even feel a bit geeky. However, once you get into the habit, which can take a little work then you realise how powerful the system really is. The ability to create contexts such as location based triggers is really useful and quite unique.

I haven’t yet found a need this app doesn’t meet. Works elegantly with a variety of time/task management methodologies. Synchronization with the superlative desktop software is seamless (so far). After extensive research MLO came out on top as the most robust platform for Windows/iOS (plus other devices I don’t use). On the desktop side I was able to import several thousand tasks from my previous decade-old tool. Icing on the cake for me is the PocketMod feature (Windows desktop) that let’s me create folded paper booklets with selected tasks, projects, whatever! I’ve been doing that for years now and will be able to maintain with MLO. So many powerful options while keeping the fundamentals easy and accessible. Nice work!

MLO has allowed me to dramatically increase my productivity in all areas of my life. I just wanted to say Thank you MyLifeOrganized. My life is going through many changes this year, and I have so many different and conflicting priorities that I have to balance that it has been pretty overwhelming at times. MLO gives me nothing short of a flawless way to integrate the Franklin Covey time management system into my life and my technology. I use the desktop to create a master plan where I balance out all the conflicting tasks and priorities that are in my life right now. The seamless syncing with my phone and tablets means that where ever I am, the master plan is never more than a few steps away. This has allowed me to virtually eliminate wasted time as well as dramatically increase my productivity in all areas of my life.

No more feeling overwhelmed for me I fully recommend MLO for anyone who is looking for a solid way to manage their tasks and keep them in sync between the cloud and one or more desktops, laptops, and mobile devices like your smartphone and tablet. The best part about it is that it doesn’t matter whether you use Franklin Covey’s time management system, like I do, or GTD, or TRO, or if you don’t use one of the time management systems out there and you just do it your way; the way MLO was designed makes it very easy to set up and get going no matter which method you use,

It’s very well written and has so many hidden gems I’m constantly surprised. I rarely provide feedback about software however I have to say this is the most well thought-out task management application I have ever seen (I think I’ve tried most all of them). I hope this will be in active development for a long time because I’m excited to dive in and switch everything I’ve been using to manage tasks, goals, projects, checklist, procedures, etc. to this single application. How happy I was when I discovered MLO! First of all: thank you for MLO! It’s the only tasking system so far that has allowed me to organise and structure tasks the way I feel is required. I had almost given up on finding one, so you can imagine how happy I was when I discovered it. I’m also happy to understand that you’re actively developing your product. I wanted to voice this happiness, because it’s really sad to get invested in a system before discovering the developers don’t actually listen to feedback. I think it’s great that you do.

If your life is hectic then this is the best project/task management application. BEST ToDo & Time Mgt. If you are a power todo person, or your personal or business life is chaos, then this is your best solution. If you have simple lists, then there are many, less expensive and far less complex, todo programs available work great. If your life is hectic and you are juggling many work / professional tasks and/or projects, then this is the best project/task management application.

It has the best implementation of dependencies Being something of a productivity junkie I was resigned to never finding the optimum software as I have to use Windows at work and it seemed all the best personal productivity software was for the Mac. Then I found this app! It deserves to be far more famous than it is. It’s unbelievably flexible, supports all sorts of fields, alerts, contexts, and has the best implementation of dependencies I’ve ever seen by far. It really is the only software I’ve seen that shows you the answer to the question ’what can I do right now?’. With such power comes complexity and it must be said there are apps that are prettier and easier to use. But if you want sheer productivity full-time power in managing your tasks and need to use Windows as well then this is pretty much the only one worth looking at that I’ve seen. Compared to other apps it may seem the pro mode is really expensive - but if you need something with this power that works with a (separately purchased) windows client it will be well worth it to you. Omnifocus is the nearest comparison I’ve seen which costs a similar amount. I know from their blog that there’s a new version coming up, which puts some more features of thr windows client into this app, as right now it doesn’t support every feature

On Android it’s very strong and robust. Great GTD tool I’m a multi platform user and having the option to see my data on many platforms is a big plus to me. I can only compare it with OmniFocus on the Apple platform. MLO has much more features and ways of using it. It unavoidably lacks simplicity but that’s not a problem for power users. Windows version needs some interface improvements but I’m sure this will take place over the time. On Android it’s very strong and robust. I’m moving over all my data to MLO these days and I will be able to say more in depth.

There is nothing even in the same class as MLO I’ve tried many tools over the past decade to support my GTD practice. MLO is the only tool I’ve found that supports GTD in every way, across all my devices, different operating systems, and different connectivity scenarios. One of the most appealing aspects of MLO is in its flexibility. As my GTD practice has evolved and matured, so has MLO. The very supportive user community around this product has been stellar. My only small complaint is the somewhat long development cycles across platforms. Nonetheless, there is nothing even in the same class as MLO if you’re serious about really living the GTD lifestyle.

Great App & Flexible To My Wandering Style I love this app. I at times go through focus and less-focused periods in my task management style (I hope that is what happens to others). This app allows me to change it to the prevalent time management style of the period I am in my life. I do really appreciate that, it can be incredibly detailed and it can be just a simple task management tool. I have only to change how I use it.

Great for imperfect perfectionists - If I only focus on one thing at a time, I know I can do it! I am a recovering perfectionist. I used to look at the long list of things I have to do and get overwhelmed to the point of inaction. My thoughts were, "I can’t finish all of this perfectly, so why bother trying?" Nothing would get done! The best feature of this app for me is the active task list. When I make my huge list of things that need to be done, I just set it and leave it there. The only thing I look at is the next item on my active list. Since I choose to complete sub tasks in order, I only see one at a time. This has cured me! 😂 If I only focus on one thing at a time, I know I can do it!

It also understands the difference between Parallel and Sequential subtasks MyLifeOrganized is the only task management app I have found really up to the task. (Get it?) It understands the concept of Next Actions, hiding non-next actions in a to-do overview if so desired. It also understands the difference between Parallel and Sequential subtasks, which is crucial for Next Actions to actually work. Also equipped with a Review view, MLO allows for true GTD task management, with many, many additional options for customisation. Do be aware that purchase of the Pro version of this app activates on the Android client only. Subscription to MLO Cloud is optional, as is buying the Pro version of the Desktop Client. The upside of this is that the team behind MLO is actively developing for all of these platforms, which probably would not have been possible for them without charging per client. Each of them is a different piece of software after all, fully tailored to get the max out of its platform.

Flexible, Powerful Task & Info Mgr An Outliner with many ways to filter, sort, & prioritize tasks into custom "views." So powerful & flexible that new users will not quickly master all functionality - but the basics are intuitive and you may not need the deep feature set (but it is nice to know it is there). iPad version easier to use than iPhone due to screen size. Cloud Sync between all platforms (I use MLO on Windows laptop, iPhone, and iPad) makes it easy to do data input (project planning, etc.) on laptop and then work from iOS device. This is the ONE app I can’t live without --keeps my life in order! If you have very modest desires for a task manager, this might be overkill.

Incredibly Flexible MLO 2 packs a lot of options into a friendly interface. If you can think about how you want to organize your tasks, you can do it in MLO 2. At last ! Continuity between devices! This is a great app that is the first one I have tried, and I have tried many, that gives me continuity between all my devices with full functionality and little to no conscious manipulating and reconciling. The ability to zoom in and focus on a specific aspect or context lets you get as granular as you want without dealing with distracting tree structure sprawl. Love this app,

Lots of punch and very flexible I have a very particular way to organize my tasks which involves sorting by importance and urgency then using that sorted list to highlight my targeted tasks for the day. This app auto sorts that list and lets me highlight the day’s work to be accessed in a separate view uncluttered by the master list. Also the recurring task flexibility is second to none. Get the desk version, sync with your mobile device, start modestly so you don’t burn out and you will find this app will become your #1 task manger.

MLO is great and I couldn’t wait to pay for upgrade. I don’t know what it is but there is something in this app that really works for me. I don’t like the productivity apps which take a lot of my time and are too finicky to setup and/or glance at quickly. On the other hand I also don’t like the the boring, minimalistic and simple list type of planners. This one is great and I couldn’t wait to pay for upgrade. MLO will dutifully tell you what you should be doing at any given moment I’ve been using MLO for several years and at times have looked at other new tool on the market, but nothing has come close to MLO in terms of power and functionality. Assuming you’re able to properly articulate and weight your life’s goals, MLO will dutifully tell you what you should be doing at any given moment to reach those goals. This includes everything from "take out the garbage" to "complete school assignment" to "schedule dinner with friends", all neatly ordered based on context, urgency, importance, location, etc. Highly recommended.

MLO does have a learning curve, but the time spent can save you countless hours later. I have been using MLO as my GTD system for 3 years now, and I love it!!!! I can not image life without it. I tried several GTD systems prior to MLO but this was the most customizable and flexible and the only app that was useable across all of my needs. With a busy consulting business, several rental properties to manage, frequent coast to coast travel, vacations, storage management, family and social engagements and dates/gifts to remember, and multiple educational and personal projects to manage, I need a system that allows me to "capture" tasks and ideas on the fly (walking down the ramp to board a plane), keep my entire todo list organized and easily reviewed, keep deadlines and top priorities visible with alerts and calander views, manage contexts (what can I do with 15 minutes to spare at the airport? My @Airport context list on MLO!) sync seamlessly between desktop and phone, remind/alert me when I drive by (my storage unit, Trader Joes, Home Depot, Staples, etc...) of something I need to pick up, and so much more. MLO is not the most visually attractive system out there, but ultimately I chose functionality over form and I am pleased to see that MLO is constantly improving. I am looking forward to seeing upcoming compatibility with Apple Watch. It would be awesome to see alerts and be able to capture on the fly with my watch. MLO does have a learning curve, but the time spent can save you countless hours later. It would have been nice if there were more video tutorials available when I was learning, but that, like everything else with MLO, is constantly improving. If you need to simplify and manage a highly complex life, I HIGHLY recommend MLO.

I can add a task on one device or PC, and it will sync to ALL of my other devices The BEST there is !!! I’ve tried many, many other task organizers, and MLO is simply the best in existence. I’ve been using MLO on other platforms for years. Of extreme importance to me is MLO’s support for multiple platforms, so I can add a task on one device or PC, and it will sync to ALL of my other devices and PCs. The synching is seamless. The ability to have multiple levels of tasks, i.e. subtasks below a parent task, and so on, is just one more of many capabilities that sets this organizer so far apart from the rest.

I am using MLO 2 on a Note 5, and found it to be precisely what I’ve been looking for in an app. I use David Allen’s Getting Things Done system of organization which itself is phenomenal, but I could not find any software that would run his system exactly the way I wanted it done...until now. MLO is so mature and well made So mature. This app and the windows client are so mature and well made. The depth of customisation is unparalleled. Every time I think "I wish there was a way to do x" I find its already there.

Customizable views make drilling down to the important stuff a snap. I’ve been using MyLifeOrganized 2 on an iPad for over a year and now have it on a new iPhone. It’s one of the best tools I’ve invested in for the mobile devices and definitely recommend it. I love the collapsible outline and being able to group tasks in folders or setting them up as subtasks. Customizable views make drilling down to the important stuff a snap. I also like the ability to use multiple work spaces and how easy it is to move things around on the outline. The cloud sync service makes keeping everything up-to-date between the phone and iPad much easier and convenient.

This actually works the way YOU want it to! Rather than conform to a pre-set program convention, MLO is powerful enough to allow you to make use of its tools they way your mind thinks. You can go from a simple to-do to a sophisticated GTD scheme complete. With contexts. This means you will use it past the first week and can modify it to better meet your situation as it evolves (more responsibilities). It’s free to use the basic functions, but you will find it worthwhile to purchase the professional version to take advantage of its powerful tools and capabilities.like the cloud synchronization.

Terrific cross platform to do app that is flexible to my specific needs. MLO for desktop PC and iOS is a really great system that does everything other to-do apps don’t do. It seems all the others have at least one major flaw, eg, these don’t do sub-tasks or these do sub-tasks but don’t sync cross platform. Etc. And so, so, so many other apps seem to be trying too hard to be the next Silicon Valley unicorn, resulting in a bunch of flashy apps that are strangely generic. MLO seems focused on one thing and one thing only: making a terrific cross platform to do app that is flexible to my specific needs.

Love the new version even better! I’m a long-time user and I really love the new version. The user interface is much better, streamlined and is so much easier and more intuitive. It took me a couple hours of play to pick it all up but I’m now a cheerleader! Thanks for all the hard work.

It really helps make my life more organized ! Love it ! This new version is great! It is so easy to use! I can now use the space button to automatically create a subtask and the erase button to turn it back to a regular task, and when I click enter, it automatically gets ready for me to write my next task right under the previous task. I can create custom views with any conditions of my choice and the today view, graphs the events in my calendar to show which days are busiest! It really helps make my life more organized !

If you are looking for the most sophisticated task management system with multi-platfrom support, this is your app! Another Excellent Implementation I am a long-time user and fan of MLO on both Windows and ios platforms. I have been waiting for the V2 implementation on Android. I am so keen on the utility of this product that I migrate platforms when MLO is ready to use. So now I can be an Android person. This is a solid, feature-packed release. If you are looking for the most sophisticated task management system with multi-platfrom support, this is your app!

It’s perfect for when you have 12 projects going at once. Being able to create project within projects and sub-lists is really helpful. Then to see the whole hierarchy of tasks helps with both the big picture and the steps to getting there. Love it.

Flexible sync to PC and/or cloud plus a powerful UI makes it great. Best outliner V2 is even better. I’ve looked through all the outliners and task managers I could find and this one seems to be the winner. Flexible sync to PC and/or cloud plus a powerful UI makes it great. Been using this for years. Still needs more fine-tuning of common actions but it’s better than anything else, well worth the cost.

I like being able to quickly organize my tasks on the PC and sync with my phone. Most advanced productivity tool. I’ve been trying to find a to do list as powerful as this one. I just don’t think one exists. This latest update has been a great improvement. I like being able to quickly organize my tasks on the PC and sync with my phone. It’s also nice when I get to work or home and find my phone notifies me of tasks as soon as I arrive.

Project level task hierarchy lets me manage and organize task as efficiently as possible. I’ve been using MLO for several years and find it indispensable. Recurring tasks, with location tags remind me to put out the recycle trash every two weeks. Giving my wife access to my account on one of her devices with cloud sync lets her add to my things to do list when she thinks of new things that need to be done. Project level task hierarchy lets me manage and organize task as efficiently as possible.

It has something for everyone MLO in short has exhaustive options for reminders, snooze, task reiteration and auto Next Action (GTD). It can be used as multi colored to-do to much complex hierarchical, inter dependent, auto triggering task generations. Custom view, custom filters with universal search. All of these features are described in help files of the Desktop version, somewhere. I appreciate it more when I will see user friendly video tutorials for complex task structures with examples. Overall it has something for everyone.

After several weeks looking for the best task manager I found MLO Very good application. After several weeks looking for the best task manager I found MLO. I am using it for one month and I am very satisfied. Regarding the Android app (not the windows program) the best are the reminders by date, time and location.

As powerful as Omnifocus This allows me to use the same methodology I used for Omnifocus, but on my Work PC, iPhone and iPad. The PC app is tremendously flexible, and can run without being installed on any PC. Once you get past the learning curve, this is excellent for getting things done.

Potential for Greatness One of the most well thought out Get things done apps on the market. This is not a simple to do list with beautiful graphics, it is a powerful task manager for the person who wants to invest in long term career driven goals, while at the same time tackle small individual projects in parts. Great job!

It has almost every feature I could possibly imagine First time I’ve ever used a ToDo list app that I’ve actually wanted to stick with for the long haul. Generally after awhile I find something annoying that the app doesn’t do and I just give up on it. But this one has almost every feature I could possibly imagine and *then* some. I actually used it every single day of the trial period and then bought it for the enhanced features after the trial was over. My favorite of all is the password protection for my lists with sensitive information. I haven’t been able to find another app that does that. Also I like how I can set a list to visually show me my progress to completion.

The concept from Outlines to Todo List make it works on any GTD concept This MLO app give great advantages compared to any other planner app on playstore for several reasons: 1) Outlined View with option to makes Folders so we can freely makes HIERARCHY to organize any thoughts, tasks, and subtasks. 2) Active Action View that automatically shorted to show the most important & urgent task to do. 3) This concept from Outlines to Todo List make it works on any GTD / time management concept that you may have. The BEST there is! The BEST there is!

Light years ahead of other task managers MLO is amazing. The app is easy to use but has such a wealth of sophisticated features that you’d think you were using a desktop app on your device. For example the outlining function alone is head and shoulders above even dedicated iOS outlining applications with hoisting and filtering, and custom views. No other task manager is even in its league

I have recently come back to MLO2 I have oscillated between to do apps for the last few years, trying every mainstream app (Omnifocus, Things, RTM, ToodleDo etc) and some new comers. I have recently come back to MLO2 because of the ease with which I can plan using the outline view, and then turn it into action in the task views. I can set it up to work the way that I do rather than be forced to use it in a certain way. I work purely off the iPhone and iPad versions since I do all my planning on the go, all kept in sync via the paid for service. I am really pleased to have returned and I would advocate it for those that have found that other apps are not quite good enough. Please keep app development coming.

It’s options and flexibility are extraordinary I think this app is fabulous. I have it installed on my Windows desktop, my android and my iPad. It’s options and flexibility are extraordinary and I think it is as good if not better than Omnifocus on the Mac. I love how tasks be set up in a hierarchical structure, Multiple contexts can be used per task, tasks can be made depended on other tasks and there can be custom filters set up. I also like the fact that after the task are set up the actual doing of the tasks falls back to a list format which for me adds greater usability.

Better than Omnifocus I worked with Omnifocus for a number of months but never really liked how it sorted and handled things. This has 10x more options and features than Omnifocus (and that alone is impressive). I kept missing deadlines because tasks wouldn’t show up properly in Omnifocus. This has eliminated this problem. I really like this app. It has a steep learning curve, but it is still highly recommended.

I turned complex multiple unrelated projects into a simple "grocery list" I’m amazed that even now after using MLO over two years, I’m discover new ways to use it that enhance my productivity.
For a long time, I’ve been doing multiple project each of which have their own task list. That’s certainly doable, but at the same time, you lose sight of the big picture and ToDo items tend to get lost in outlines. Well...today, remembered that ToDos can be flattened. I knew that before, but I returned to that view for the first time in over a year. It simplifies complex project to down to the level of grocery list! Massively improves my focus on simply checking off each task.

One area it is particularly good at is hierarchical tasks and projects. V2 is a redesign and is much better than V1. One area it is particularly good at is hierarchical tasks and projects. None of the Web-based tools I have tried do this well. Remember the Milk doesn’t do hierarchy; it uses tags instead. Toodledo SEEMS to have hierarchical tasks but once you use it for a while you see that they don’t really work right - if you move the main task the sub tasks don’t move. They just don’t work well with the way I want to organize my tasks. MLO is also about the infrastructure. My main task manager is MLO Windows, which is a great program. MLO for iPad allows me to work on my tasks when I am out of the office. MLO Cloud keeps all of my systems in sync. All this costs money, but I have an "everywhere" task management system that works like I want and that is worth it.

You can use it in conjunction with Franklin Covey or any other hybrid system The functionality of the product is great. It’s well done and adapts to any scenario you need. You can use it in conjunction with Franklin Covey or any other hybrid system you personally enjoy. I use it on a Windows desktop, on my iPad, and on my iPhone. It works perfectly, and is very intuitive in terms of doing things. I have also had to contact their support center for an upgrade issue and the response was fast and very helpful. I have tried numerous to do lists / PIMs and this is the one that works brilliantly for me...

Combine with desktop app for GTD power After reading "Getting Things Done" years ago, I found the best app out there to support the methodology was the MyLifeOrganized desktop version (before they had any mobile versions). You can add, edit, and revise tasks really quickly so it doesn’t get in the way. The iPhone app syncs perfectly and quickly with the desktop via the cloud or WiFi. I couldn’t ask for anything more, except for maybe a Mac version so I could use it at home.

Excellent implementation of GTD I have used MLO off and on for the past 5 years, mostly concentrating on the PC and synching to MS Outlook. The reason I have been off and on was I created tasks in Outlook, and then synched them to MLO. I loved the flexibility of MLO, but always got discouraged by creating tasks twice, and the inevitable synch errors between the two systems. Just recently I decided to break loose from Outlook tasks (and got away from MS OneNote) and switch to My Life Organized and Evernote (and using TaskClone as the glue), and I think I have found the best system I can imagine. I keep most notes in Evernote (either direct or using a Evernote Moleskine notebook. I mark tasks in Evernote, and then TaskClone sends the task to MLO via email. I do all my task management in MLO, and I could not be happier. I use MLO on my PC, my iPad, and my iPhone and life is good.

Great synchronization. MLO seems to be the only option in its class that offers a full-featured alternative to a hosted/cloud-sync service. Many of the other GTD-Style applications appear to limit their application features if the cloud option is not used. For example, an android app might be able to sync a limited set of fields to a google account, but in order to sync all of the fields, one would need to use the developer’s cloud service. In contrast, MLO gives you the option to sync all of your mobile information directly to the desktop application using wifi sync

This app is just amazing..!! My husband always liked MLO, while I was hesitant to use it. It seemed bothersome and complicated. However, MLO 2 is a whole different thing...!!

Happy customer! Developers are focusing on usability improvements rather than adding more and more features. Have used MLO for at least 7 years now. Started with the Win version and started using the iOS versions since they appeared. MLO 2 for iPhone was a huge improvement over V1 and awaited eagerly the iPad upgrade. It’s finally here! Biggest difference between v1 and v2 is the user interface - although I got used to v1 interface after a while, it was not nearly as intuitive as v2 is. MLO has always been a feature-full task manager - I, for one, find use for most of the features, but am not craving for many more - would prefer developers to focus on making usability improvements rather than adding new features.

MLO is the best GTD tool anywhere I’ve tried many tools over the past decade to support my GTD practice.

I like that MLO is more than a simple todo list. You can create goals and have an outline of todos working towards these goals. Then you can sort todos and work on the most urgent ones first. Very useful!

Best task and supporting app for work and busy life Found this app to be very useful over the years. Enables me to manage my work and to-dos in a structured way and for that matter, in various ways to make it simple or as complex as one wants to manage tasks, projects and activities over time. Also the fact that I can run from any device, knowing I have cloud backup is reassuring and seamless. Appreciate the efforts by the developer for continuously to evolve this program with good/useful updates.

MLO is powerful enough that you can implement any of time management methodology such as GTD or Franklin-Covey. I have tried many todo list managers. Most of them are too simple for my complex life - and my life is pretty typical of everyone I know. I have many recurring chores, yearly or monthly home maintenance, regular reports to write, complex projects, home repairs, "someday/maybes", and the list goes on. MLO is the only tool I’ve found that is capable of handling it all, sorting through everything, and giving me a list of things I need to do today. MLO on the iPad now essentially equals the full functionality of MLO for Windows. The two of them make a powerful combination, but you can now do almost anything with the iPad version that you can on Windows. I do my complex planning and reviewing work on the PC, and with this release I can do that on the iPad as well. My data syncs seamlessly to the cloud so I can whip out my phone or iPad and see what’s up next. I’ve never had such control over my commitments. MLO doesn’t conform to any particular time management methodology. Instead, it’s powerful enough that you can implement any of them that I’m familiar with, such as GTD or Franklin-Covey. The team has rewritten MLO from the ground up - it’s a whole new app, and worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Great Professional and Personal Tool MLO is a professional and a personal tool. As a court administrator working with courts across a large state, MLO is an essential tool. I use MLO as an outliner and a task organizer. Version 2.0 brings many of the powerful tools of Windows Version 4.0 to the iPad. As a result, my personal and professional lives will be easier.

The beauty of this app is the ability to create any combination of filtered lists. Like many GTDers, I’ve tried every todo app out there. There is not a more sophisticated, yet easy, outliner todo list in the market. The beauty of this app (and desktop companion) is the ability to create any combination of filtered lists, ensuring you see only the tasks you need to see in whatever situation or location you find yourself in. No other app gives you this much control. A "must buy" for any serious productivity fanatic.

The most flexible and powerful task outliner This rewrite of MLO has almost all the features of the desktop version, including a very powerful search feature. The navigation is a joy to use and development is very active. New update include loads more features, including a brilliant, view-sensitive navigation button, plus recognition of hyperlinks and phone numbers in task notes. Custom views can be imported from the desktop and they’ll soon be adding the ability to create custom views on the iPhone. iPad version coming soon. Awarded the full 5 stars, as one of my most-used apps.

The best planner just got better I’ve used MLO for ten years. Ive tried most of the new competitors but come back always to MLO. The company continuously updates and improves their products (you certainly cannot say the same of Omni). This new product for iPad continues the continual progress. If you’re serious about todo lists, you should give MLOa try

Excellent Hierarchical ToDo manager I use desktop version of MLO for several years. With MLO Cloud i can seamlessly sync my tasks across laptop, iPhone and iPad. Finally, with introduction of MLO HD, the functionality of the application, available on iPad, got on par with its desktop version. Highly recommend it.

I use it more often than most of my other productivity apps! It’s simple, yet can function as complex as even the most daunting project can demand. I just started using this app and I’m still learning all the tricks and uses--but I seem to be using this more often than most of my other productivity apps. Worth the buy, in my opinion.

I have been using MLO for 6 months now and it has literally changed my life and the way I manage my time I just wanted to say Thank you MyLifeOrganized.

I tried many things but always come back to MLO I started using the desktop version of MLO in 2011. It is a simple outline or that, as you did deeper, becomes a sophisticated project management system. I use it to run my company and I’m very happy with it. With this app, I’m able to keep in touch projects I have going on, as well as adding tasks and notes as needed. The one thing I hope they will do in the future is to have Siri integration and as well as integration with Apple reminders. The reason for this is that it would be nice to be able to enter tasks without having to go to the lock screen.

Great GTD app for organizing work I’ve switched from Omnifocus because I’m now required to use Windows and I am pleasantly surprised about this app. Very customizable and great to work with, it’s become my new GTD app. There was a small learning curve but not too bad with the manuals guidance. Highly recommended.

Great app, good for implementing GTD, This is a great app for implementing GTD, it has a lot of features, some of them can be customized to your own needs, and to what ever system you want, the included templates for GTD, covey, etc give you an idea on how they work and how you can tweak them to your licking. Now with timeline view for your task, is a big improvement from previous releases. It will be better if a full calendar view will be part of future update, unless there is one I don’ t know how to get to it and use.

This is my one must have program for which there is no substitute. I’ve been using MLO since 2006 - on my computers, PDAs, smartphones, iPhone.... I’ve tried a bunch of other programs, but they were always lacking some feature that MLO has. (I call it MyLO instead of M.L.O. because it is like my personal assistant.) I just bought a tablet and it was the first thing I installed. This is my one must have program for which there is no substitute. There’s a great user forum and the support over the years has been awesome!

Maybe now I can finally finish my craft projects!! I have tried out several to do, task list, and project manager apps, this one is by far the best one I’ve found. Extremely comprehensive, well laid out, let’s me give a due date for each step in a project, has a progress bar for each project, exactly what I was looking for to finally get my unfinished craft projects organized and finished.

Better than Omnifocus For years, I had used Omnifocus and it was fine. However, they did not have a PC version and that is where I spend most of my time. Then, they "upgraded" to version 2 which I found terrible. MLO is (PC and iPhone) are much, much better. Highly customizable and it comes with all kinds of preset views.

From simple projects to very complicated ones, its got everything you need. The only thing i would and if they haven’t yet is this ability to add photos and videos to the notes. Plus if it could add hyper links to websites and other apps then it would be perfect. TY MLO People for creating such an amazing app. Sincerely Michael F.C.

You can use Getting Things Done or any other methodology you like. It’s that powerful! Long ago, I used LifeBalance on the PalmPilot. The concept was great, but the Palm platform itself made it cumbersome. Eventually I found MyLifeOrganized for Windows and discovered that it was the great-grandchild of LifeBalance. I used MLO for years, but when the iPhone came out I wanted a portable solution. I waited for a iPhone version of MLO for a while, but then I got impatient and strayed away from MLO. I switched to ToodleDo, then a hybrid of ToodleDo and Pocket Informant. Both capable apps, but they pale in comparison to MLO for managing a complex life. I missed MLO and I was getting lost without it! I should have been more patient. Andrey was hard at work creating a terrific mobile solution. I have now switched back. The combination of MLO Windows, iPad, iPhone, and MLO Cloud keeps me organized and on top of my life more than anything else I’ve ever used. MLO is for people who are willing to invest time to organize the details of their life. It is not for people who just need to remember the milk. You can use Getting Things Done or any other methodology you like. It’s that powerful. You can create hierarchies for each area in your life (i.e. work, home, family, personal...), assign contexts, and a ton of other details to each task (or not.. you don’t have to use all the features), display a current actions list which shows you only what needs to be done now, create custom views... the list is endless. I use the desktop version for serious organizing, weekly reviewing, etc. I use the mobile versions for staying on top of today’s tasks. The mobile versions lag a bit in features but Andrey is constantly improving them. I can’t recommend MLO highly enough.

Awesome!! I’ve been a fan of Omni for a few years now, but due to a career change, I found myself in an industry that is dominated by Windows. As a result, I was looking for a project manager that was robust, customizable and had platforms on Windows & Apple. I’m happy to say MyLifeOrganized has exceeded my expectations & opened another vista for project management. The app isn’t simple; my learning curve will keep ramping up the more I use it. But, the more I use it, the more I love it. This is an awesome app!

MLO is the best GTD app I am experienced GTD apps user. I’ve tested many apps and services providing GTD methodology. And I want to say that MLO is the best approving GTD methodology. MLO’s unanswerable advantages are the following: Embedded projects creation, which allows you to execute projects of any complexity. Subtasks tasks , which allows you to concretize subtasks for the most complicated tasks. Folders, which allow you to group tasks in folders.

Using it fully will keep you on track This app is much better than a to-do list. With a new year, I have new goals. I can dream of how I want to improve our family with good habits (such as reading to the kids for thirty minutes per day), input "dream" (goal) into MLO and create a reoccurring to do in order to daily make my goals a reality. Recommended reading: Getting Things Done. MLO takes a while to get used to but keep trying, using it fully will keep you on track.

A nice way to organize the tasks. It is easy and intuitive yet have a lot functions, which can be customized for different needs. It’s a great app to organize whole life!! It’s a great goal setting, project management, and tasks lists organizer app. I’m a long time user of Errands app, and that serves best for my smaller tasks and reminders. But I wanted to plan and organize a lot of things and to make my life clutter free. I tried several things in past like wunderlist, anyDo, Carrot, Daily Routine, success Wiz, Sooner Lite, Balanced, and Planner. But none have the kind of capability that I was looking for. I wanted to arrange my tasks in hierarchy and also wanted to customize the tasks view according to my defined contexts and priorities. I wanted to try omnifocus 2 but after comparison I found that MLO will be better for me and also half the price of that too. The MLO cloud sync also works flawlessly. I subscribed for one month to test it, and it’s working very well. Overall I’m going to use MLO for a long time, to make my life better. IA!

A task management app for power users I tend to be a power user with just about any app that I use, and this app certainly whets my appetite for features. The Today screen is great, displaying not only calendar events but tasks due for the day and a graph showing progress. I love the ability to create multiple workspaces, allowing me to keep my work separate from my personal life. Progress against projects can be tracked easily with both percentage and bar graphs and automatically through completion of subtasks; maybe I haven’t looked hard enough, but this is about the only task management app that I’ve found that does this, and in such nice fashion! Plenty of customizability. One small feature request - the ability to rename workspaces would be fantastic!

MLO 2 for the iPhone is the app I’ve been waiting for! I have loved the desktop application, MyLifeOrganized, for many years. I bought my first iPhone over 5 years ago because I heard that an app was under development for the iPhone that could sync with the desktop application. It took a few years before the first version of the app finally appeared and, quite frankly, it was a disappointment. But the developer took the feedback he received to heart and completely revamped it. MLO 2 is a thing of beauty and is an essential tool I rely on each day when I am not at my desktop computer. I look forward to even more customizable filtering capabilities in the future and seeing the same (and other) features implemented on the new iPad version. Andrey, I will be a committed user for many many more years to come. Thanks for this great app!

The functionality and usability is so rich, I always come back. I have decided to basically settle on MLO after a long track of bouncng between various GTD apps, looking for the perfect environment. I always seem to come back to MLO, as soon after I move away from it, I miss various features other GTD apps are missing. It always seems MLO’s pluses far out-weight it’s negatives, chiefly being MLO being only on the Windows platform. This reason is often why I decided to move away, but the functionality and usability is so rich, I always come back.

I’ve started using the iPhone app too and I love being able to tweak my list at any time I’ve used the desktop version on and off for years. Best & most heavily featured to-do list manager ever After a long & comprehensive search this is by far the best to-do list manager I’ve found. I use it many times a day on my iPhone and sync it with it’s companion desktop PC application for big planning sessions. Templates are included for GTD & other organisation systems, I use a GTD-like system and it works brilliantly. MLO works the way I think! MLO works the way I think, hierarchical and I can use as much of or as little of the properties as I want. I especially love the different views I’ve used GTD for several releases. I started several years ago when I was looking for a better tool to me manage a GTD methodology for my todo lists. It provides a lot of power and flexibility. I especially love the different views like outline view. It is a complex interface. Don’t let it scare you. It’s getting me organized! I downloaded this at my husband’s urging. My paper lists are such a mess, and I’m trying to organize housecleaning tasks to be on a regular schedule. The app is very well designed, and with just a few minutes of prep I’ve got my list all entered and have been using them and checking off all week! The only drawback is that you can’t set recurring tasks in the free version. I’ve made the leap for the paid version as I do really like the app, and it would be a pain to reset the due date each time I want something to recur.

MLO - solid design! About a week ago I discovered MLO. What set it apart from others was threefold:
1) Solid design (it didn’t hurt my eyes to look at it, unlike 99% of your Windows competition!)
2) Mobile app w/sync, and support for all major platforms, incl WindowsMobile
3) Built for GTD users from the ground-up

The app is easy to use but has such a wealth of sophisticated features MLO is amazing. The app is easy to use but has such a wealth of sophisticated features that you’d think you were using a desktop app on your device. Environment to "get things done" that is unmatched The syncronization between desktop and mobile creates an environment to "get things done" that is unmatched. The desktop is extremely powerful and ideal for data entry, processing, large reviews, etc. The mobile versions are great for execution -- the daily doing of tasks. Most competing programs, even if they do sync to a desktop version, limit the feature set to a "dumbed down" mobile version, whereas MLO has a powerful and nuanced desktop version that syncs the most important fields to the more streamlined mobile versions.

Magic! If I had a magical device that would tell me exactly what to do every minute of the day, I would be happy. MLO is the next best thing. It has the functionality to implement GTD and other systems but with the added benefits of a superior system for planning and collecting projects and goals (the outline) and a continuously reprioritized to do list. It’s easily the best task management software out there.

Impressed at how far MLO has come I have been using various task organizers throughout the years, but never settled on one that I felt answered all my needs. Because of workload, decided to start looking into a new manager and was impressed at how far MLO had come. One key for me is Projects with sub tasks. MLO is best of the bunch/

Giving my wife access to my account lets her add to my to do list I’ve been using MLO for several years and find it indispensable. Wish there was a desktop version on the Mac (as there is for windows) though. Very Comprehensive Task Management Program

Great System - MLO has handled every scenario I’ve spent several years evaluating task management systems, it was Workflowy that convinced me of the value of a heiracical manager, not just for tasks but for notes, but it was too limited. No such criticism can be levelled at MLO which has handled every scenario I’ve needed to handle its solid and the sync works well between my desktop and iPad and iPhone devices. Just brilliant and indispensable for me.

I’m back... I used MLO for Windows from V1... I strayed looking for something that included my iDevices. Looking back, using MLO was the only time I was successful with GTD. I’m back and I get iPhone and iPad too!

From a Life Balance user I’m an old Life Balance user.... Through the whole journey, I always missed Life Balance. So in a sense, I’ve come back home, but to an app that has gone way beyond LB. I’m really enjoying configuring and using it. I’m more focused and less stressed.

It’s a generation in thinking and design ahead of everything else. MLO has the rare combination of the most features and the best user experience of any task management app available. I’ve been using it for years and while I keep trying new apps to see what’s out there, nothing compares to MLO. It’s a generation in thinking and design ahead of everything else. Thank you MLO team for consistently raising the bar.

Terrific Upgrade This new release takes the MLO iOS client and makes it a peer to the Windows client in terms of native function and interface. Formerly you did your planning on Windows and the iOS clients were synchronized check lists. Now the iPhone app is a suitable planning tool too. Excellent work.

Dang! Now this is how it should be done MLO is one of the premier task managers currently available. Its only real peer is Omni (which is also fantastic). But if you’re stuck with Windows at work like I am, then MLO is without question the best. The power comes from the dual-view: an outline for planning and a flat-list for doing. The flexibility of MLO can make it intimidating at first - there is definitely a steep learning curve - but once you learn it, the tool disappears into the background an you’re able to just use it. All the details you need are here to organize and execute single tasks to complicated endeavors: Projects, Sub-projects, Tasks, Sub-tasks (nest as deep as you want), recurrences, start date & due date, dependencies, contexts, priority, urgency, importance, flags, stars, filters, views, zoom, powerful incremental search, quick task entry, etc... The iPhone app is probably fine as a standalone but I’d recommend pairing it with the Windows app. My work can be sensitive, so having the Wifi sync with MLO keeps my data safely off the cloud.

Totally reworked and awesome! As a long-time user of MLO Desktop I was thankful for the previous MLO for iPhone but I also always felt limited by it. It was good for quick capture or review but I couldn’t live by it. This new version feels like MLO! I believe I can work from here, do my reviews from here. Very well done!

Perfect tool. As for me it is a perfect tool for organizing and tracking my tasks and goals. I’ve tried many tools but still, since the desktop version in 2007, I prefer this product.
